![]() One shot each of DTaP, Polio, MMR, and Chicken Pox is given to children before they enter school. By the time your child is 2 years old, he or she should have 4 DTaP, 3 Polio, 3 Hepatitis B, 4 HIB, 4 Prevnar, 1 Chicken Pox, 1 MMR, and 2 Hepatitis A shots. The first shots will be at the 2 month visit. At these appointments your doctor will talk to you about recommended screening tests for your age and risk factors. Your doctor will determine when you need a regular check up as an adolescent and adult. Regular office visits take place at 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years and then yearly. Please arrange a first visit to our office before leaving the hospital. Babies born at other hospitals will be seen by the staff physician at the hospital and they will keep us informed on your newborn's medical status. Our doctors will see your newborns if your deliver at Highland Hospital. ![]()
